After, Pescadero we made our way down highway one to our next destination of Monterey, California. This was one of our favorite places to visit although the Monterey County Fairgrounds were a little pricey for what you get.
We ate out, explored Monterey and Carmel, played golf, ate out and even had Thanksgiving with my brother’s family who again came down the coast for a weekend getaway. They stayed at a nearby hotel and we did a full Thanksgiving dinner at the trailer.
One of the real highlights during our stay in Monterey was an unadvertised Pro-am golf tournament at Pebble Beach golf course that we stumbled upon. Spectator admission was free to the public and we got to walk inside the ropes two days and watched Tommy Armour III defeat Lee Janzen in a one hole Sunday playoff viewed by only a handful of spectators who got unbelievable access to players and the most famous golf course in the United States.
